This video depicts the artist engaging directly with the land, the site of his research and where he seeks and finds hiraeth. In each instance he utilises a photograph made during a previous visit, the initial capture of which was made to document scenes and details within the landscape that when visited trigged memories and reflections associated with his own interpretation of this ambiguous word. When returning to Wales with these images a series of performative interactions have taken place where the once indelible photographs are used to create ephemeral pieces of art to convey the feelings of loss and longing which are so often associated with hiraeth.
